Conditions of Competition

Eligibility: The Event shall be open to amateur golfers of all ages, who are members of clubs affiliated to England Golf and in possession of a competition “c” handicap under the CONGU Unified Handicapping System, maximum 28 (men) 36 (women). All stages of the competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf, Club Local Rules and Conditions of Competition.
Club qualifying rounds
a) A club qualifying competition is a 9 hole Stableford competition, which may be qualifying for handicap purposes on a golf course that has a 9 hole Standard Scratch Score (SSS
b) Handicap strokes must be taken according to the Stroke Index for the designated 9 hole course.
c) The leading 2 scores from the event will be added together to form a pair. A pair may include only one player under the age of 18.
d) The leading 10 pairs in the country based on their combined stableford points will be offered the chance to play in the 9 hole competition organised by the R&A at Carnoustie on Saturday 14th July just days before the 147th Open Championship.
